How to choose the right deadline tool
Start with the rule that controls the deadline, then choose the calculator that matches that rule. Working-day tools exclude Saturdays, Sundays and listed bank holidays. Calendar-day tools count every day unless a specific rule says otherwise.
Information rightsUse the SAR and FOI calculators for response planning, then check the applicable ICO or public authority guidance where a deadline can pause or extend.
Employment and tenancyUse notice-period tools for planning dates only. Contract wording, service method and jurisdiction can change the final date.
Invoices and business daysUse invoice and working-day tools for payment terms, reminders and internal follow-up dates, including bank-holiday exclusions where relevant.
Important: These calculators are planning aids. For legal, contractual, regulatory or employment deadlines, verify the result against the source rule before relying on it.
